This flood alert has been updated with new forecast information. Overtopping waves and spray can be expected as a result of large waves and strong onshore winds. The areas at risk are low lying land and roads around Kilnsea Southfield Farm, Kilnsea Caravan Park and Spurn Road. Overtopping is forecast during Thursday’s high tide on 28/11/19 between 17:45 and 20:15. In addition, wave overtopping and spray is forecast again during Friday morning’s high tide on 29/11/19 between 06:30 and 08:30. Please be careful along beaches, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and spray could be dangerous. The tide has now peaked, but high water levels and windblown spray due to strong onshore wind conditions means that this alert is expected to be re-issued later today for this evening’s high tide on 28/11/19.
